ABOUT KARA:

Kara Hanes has been coaching junior volleyball for 12 years. This will be here 9th year as the 18-1 coach. In the past 8 years, Kara's 18-1 teams have finished in the top 10 at the Volleyball Festival. each time including a trip to the Finals last season. Kara has also coached at Mt. Carmel High School and Pikes Peak Volleyball Club in Colorado Springs. Throughout Kara's volleyball career, she was a 3 Time CIF Player of the year at Poway High School, a UCLA All-American, and was a USA National Team player. Kara also played at San Diego Volleyball Club for 5 years.

A BIT MORE ABOUT KARA:

Kara has her Masters degree in Education and is a middle school teacher in the Poway Unified School District. In her time off of the court, she enjoys spending time with her husband Aaron, and her two children Luke (5years old), and Jenna (3 years old).
